Ever wanted to add more fun and creativity to your Twitter page. Have you ever though of adding some videos to your Twitter Homepage? Well, a new service called BubbleTweet, envised by Kevin Sherman (BubbleGuru on Twitter)allows you to place a video that appears in a bubble as soon as you enter a Twitter profile.
All this starts with a redirect URL that takes you to your Twitter profile and a small round bubble appears and starts playing a short video, which you can either upload or record using your web cam. You don’t need to register to use this ervice, Just give your twitter username and record or upload a short video. You will get a custom Bubble Tweet URL that will show you your recording overlaid on the specified Twitter account.A count is kept for how many visits each Bubble Tweet URL gets. Plus, you can create up to three Bubble Tweet videos a day.
These BubbleTweets never automatically appear when someone visits your Twitter page, instead, they always require a user to click on your BubbleTweet URL to initiate and begin playing. Whether this URL link is on a different site…like our BubbleTweet main page or within your own Twitter page, they always require URL link to play.
You might also want to place the BubbleTweet URL on your website instead of linking directly to your Twitter page…This will enable anyone who clicks on it to see your personal message first, before it redirect to your normal Twitter page.
All BubbleTweets created under any given Twitter username are immediately archived and always available for review by reviewing the specific BubbleTweet channel for the Twitter username: http://www.bubbletweet.com/channel/[twittername]
Kevin has taken his bubble-video technology and applied it to a number of different online activities, such as electronic greeting cards (Bubble Joy), enhancing any web site (Bubble Comment), and answering questions (Bubble Guru). In real entrepreneurial form, Kevin isn’t sitting still with his goal to get the web wired up with short-form videos.
He’s even made a StumbleUpon-style random BubbleTweet page where you can just sit back and watch the bubbles one after another. Good stuff.
